Eye Care Programme, Regent village schools

We began an eye screening programme in 2017 in partnership with the Lowell and Ruth Gess Eye Hospital in Kissy and with the support of CBM Germany http://www.cbm.org/

Over three thousand children and some adults were screened and where given assistance with new glasses, medicines, eye ointments and ongoing support.

The eye screening programme which started in 2017 will provide annual check-ups and we are confident that the eye care provided will greatly improve the health and well being of hundreds of children that may otherwise have eye related problems which may go undetected and untreated causing long term negative effects on the children’s vision and development.
